St Cross has designed an online and email campaign promoting testicular cancer awareness.

We teamed up with Orchid, the only UK registered cancer charity to focus entirely on male-specific cancers, to produce a fun e-card to help partners nudge their man to buy that all-important bunch of flowers, whilst taking advantage of Valentine’s Day to get more ‘balls savvy'.
A recent OnePoll survey revealed that over a third of women (37%) believe their man would be worried and scared about going to the doctor if they told him they'd spotted a lump on his testicle whilst having sex.
Astonishingly, over a third (39%) of women surveyed, believed their partners aged 16-30yrs – the age group most at risk of contracting testicular cancer – would ignore a lump on their testicles, compared to only 18% of men aged 50yrs and over.
Although awareness of testicular cancer is higher than other male cancers men don't seem to be acting on their knowledge to carry out life-saving checks.
Visit the Orchid website for more information, or our blog for some background.
Rebecca Porta, Chief Executive of Orchid, commented:
“Testicular cancer is very treatable if caught early and Valentine’s Day provides the perfect excuse for couples to have fun by checking for lumps and bumps. We’re very grateful for the support of St Cross in creating this Valentine’s Day e-card which can really make a difference to saving lives.”
